None of these are Earth shattering unique, but what can I say? I’m a sucker for your basic, cute, stereotypical dates!
I love going camping! It’s a wonderful way to relax with your significant other. My mans and I went hiking, fishing, made s’mores, and roasted some hot dogs on the fire. Myfavorite place to camp is Jim Thorpe, PA, where there’s also a small town to walk around and peruse shops.
Hit up your local mini golf and have some ice cream after. It’s a fun and competitive way to spend your date. To up the
competition, have the loser pay for the ice cream!
If you’re in Pennsylvania, try Camelbeach or Great Wolf Lodge (they have multiple locations in the U.S.!) We hit up Great Wolf Lodge and not only is this a great place to take the family, but they have water slides for the adults, a pool outside if you want to catch some rays, and a nice little bar. This isn’t even including the lodging and food courts they have. Did I mention it’s all inside?!
Pennsylvania has Dorney Park (which also has a water park), Knoebles (where you pay per ride), Hershey Park (uh, hello, chocolate), and other great amusement parks where you can get your thrills and embrace your inner child while riding some rides.
Drive In Movie
This is a perfect chance to cuddle and watch movies and recreate those cozy cute pictures you see on Tumblr. Grab some couch cushions, pillows, and blankets and even some snacks (hell, I’ve brought a pizza to one already). Locally, we have Becky’s Drive-In, where I grew up getting two movies for the price of one. They even added a second screen for more movie options! We also have Shankweilers. Don’t have a drive-in nearby? Try projecting a movie onto your house outside or on a large blank wall inside and just curl up and enjoy!
Have some unique date ideas to mix things up or did you try one of these? Let me know in a comment!
